One bolt of ME broken inside the hole in the engine block. The hole is M56, the broken face to the engine block face is about 150mm. Tried by one site service company, but failed after one week exhaust working. The hole is welded, but touching with the threads. The hole is drilled, but not in the center.

Tried by one site service company, but failed after one week exhaust working. The hole is welded, but touching with the threads. The hole is drilled, but not in the center.
The vessel is dry-docking in Shanghaiguan shipyard. The schedule is dalayed because of the broken bolt. There are too much uncertainty and also a big challenge for DMTech team.
DMTech Team checking the site and discussing for technical process.The team carry out the overhauling with reasonable and safe technical process, portable site machining, special welding material.
The broken bolt pulled out safely in one day and did not destroy the screws in the engine block.
